Zombie Gear: Medkit with Anti-Bite Serum Now Available
Friday, 06 June 2008

The votes were in, and the time had come to introduce Phreque's flagship Zombie Defense gear . Available starting today is an actual ready-to-use medkit in a reusable metal case with anti-bite "serum" for  worst case scenarios involving getting chomped by the shambling undead. Oh, and it's blacklight responsive. Click any of the faux ads below for full-size images, and remember - it's always better to be safe than zombie. Alternatively, go straight to this item in the shop!

Nevermind the hurting. That just means it's working.

Anti-Zombie Emergency Medkits - Because a man has to take care of his family.

You might not have been bitten, but isn't it better to be safe than zombie?

USB Nintendo Controllers Displayed in Toy Joy Booth at Rare Magazine's "Rarest of Them All" Event
Monday, 02 June 2008

Many thanks to Rare Magazine for voting Toy Joy "Best toy store in Austin" (you gonna call them wrong?) and for throwing one hell of a party, and also to Toy Joy for putting NES USB controllers on display! Guests were encouraged to flop into enormous Fatboy beanbag chairs, grab a stick, and game like kids. Also thanks to the cute bartender half a level above who kept me liquored up for a good chunk of the evening.

There's nothing like seeing both kids and middle aged folk bliss out with the original Super Mario Brothers. It fairly brings tears to my eyes. One little fella was so over the moon about Mario that he got a super mushroom and "Mario" face paint at another booth after playing.. that makes him instantly a-OK in my book.

Everyone digs Mario. Everyone.
Everyone digs Mario. Everyone.

This kid pwnz.
This kid pwnz.

I'd be doing this if I were his age too. Oh wait...

Introducting: EndGames - Classy Atari Bookends!
Sunday, 17 June 2007

Fill a shelf. Hell, fill two!

Old Atari cartridges are accumulating dust on shelves everywhere. They may as well be doing something, so we're happy to introduct 'EndGames' - superswanky Atari cartridge bookends! They're all over the place here holding books, DVDs, cds, notebooks and new games in style. Stock updated regularly as more cartridges arrive! Let's take a looksie, shall we?

Normal bookend. As you can see, it clearly lacks awesomeness.
Regular bookend: Not awesome

An EndGame bookend. The very pinnacle of awesome-itude.
EndGame: Totally Freaking Awesome

So, unless you want your shelf to keep on sucking with boring lackluster bookends, fine. Otherwise, grab yo'self an EndGame!

Oh, and now a giddy Mario from "Super Mario World"  is available in the most color-complex BitKit yet. And just in case you've forgotten, FREE ZOMBIES with every order!

Mario has never been so happy to be tacked on a fridge!
