Today marks 11 years of writing original music, and also the release of "Then the Sky Went Black" is comprised primarily of sounds captured with a handheld recorder, and is one of my first stabs into Ambient. This track (and 9 others) are now on 'Karmabomb', my first album. Click below for info and download. Click to download .mp3 (7.94MB)

Music Evolution starts now |

The hardest part of releasing any song is that I always want to tweak something later without launching a whole new project. So beginning today, songs in the Music section will include a version number. Now whenever there's significant change to a song (new instrumentation, new arrangement or mix, etc) it will be posted as an updated or separate version. Projected benefits: 1. I usually want to try an idea several ways. This lets me go through multiple approaches and produce several sub-mixes that can stand on their own. 2. With more versions available, the variety (and hopefully the appeal) will widen. 3. Previous projects can be easily updated, keeping them fresh and relevant. 4. Those who actually follow my music projects will be able to keep as updated as they wish, and keep a progressive catalog. 5. Exploration - new patterns emerge as updates turn old ideas into anthems and combinations of tracks can create incredible mixes. By using this open-ended approach, interested parties can watch as the songs cause each other to evolve. ...Because if I enjoy listening to it, someone else out there probably will too. Stay tuned. This is all there is to the studio. Click to see full-size. |

It's a zombie-eat-brain world out there and if the Polls are any indication, zombies trump just about everything else. So to raise awareness for Phreque's new line of Zombie Proof gear, this commercial has been created. Spread the word; it's better to be safe than zombie. Click the image below to watch on YouTube, or download the high-quality .wmv (125MB). And don't forget you can score yourself some Zombie Proof stickers on the free tip. Click to watch on YouTube |

I call this little one-of-a-kind the Zapper Type-L. Pulling the trigger activates a mini laser in the barrel. You hear that? It shoots laser beams. Even better, it's made completely of repurposed parts from other projects. If you'd like to see these in the Thinkshop, all you have to do is let me know. Oh snap! Laser! Don't piss me off, plumber. |

In what can only be described as an epic underdog maneuver, ninjas recently pulled past pirates in the polls (although they're still getting dominated by the zombies). You can now vote every 12 hours, so jump in and steer this showdown by voting over to the left! zombies > ninjas > pirates |

"Things You Say" (Cicada) + "Changes" (DJ Disciple), mixed right here early last year. It's a complete overhaul of a previous (awful) release. It was a trial, having deleted the sourcefiles - this was reworked from the final render of the original LivePlay 2, and even that had syncing and dropped frame issues. Watch on YouTube or download below.
